We have always loved the concept of a horizontal flower vase. It makes you think against the grain and the Hudson Arch vase does just that.
This Arch vase was originally used for judging tulips in the early 19th century because the curved shape perfectly highlights the natural beauty of a flower. All competitors had to use the same container so that no one grower would have an advantage over another (basically there was a lot of hype over lucky containers and judges were judging the container more than the flowers so they had to make it fair and square for everyone.)
This glass vase with flowers simply shows the beauty of a single bloom. The other benefit of having a horizontal flower vase is that it’s great for a dinner table. Low lying centerpieces are hard to come by. It’s nice to be able to look the person sitting across from you in the eyes, rather than through an obnoxiously large arrangement.
The Hudson Arch vase was one of the first vases we ever produced 11 years ago. Since then we have expanded the line and added three colors, Aqua, Peridot, Smoke Grey.
This glass vase with flowers is almost too easy to be creative with. We LOVE using it for Tulips – because tulips will always grow to the light they will take on the curved shape of the vase and will look stunning.
The Small Arch Vase is 10” long, 2” wide and 2” tall.
Flowers We Love in this Vase: Tulips, Freesia, Iris, Orchids (Deo's work best)
